Three structures, one crew
Garages, sheds, and decks each come apart differently. We bring the right approach and equipment for whichever one you need gone.
Garage demolition
Detached single and double car garages typically come down in as little as a day, slab included if you want it gone too. Attached garages need extra care, since the shared wall connecting them to your house has to be cut and sealed carefully before removal begins.
Shed demolition
From a small backyard tool shed to a large workshop sized structure, sheds are usually a same visit hand demolition job. Wood, metal siding, and shingles are sorted separately so more of it can be recycled instead of landfilled.
Deck demolition
Wood decks are broken down board by board or removed in sections depending on size and condition, with posts and footings pulled or cut below grade so the yard is left level and safe to walk on afterward.
How garage, shed & deck removal works
Free on site or photo quote
Tell us the structure size, material, and whether it is attached or detached, and we give you a written price range before any work starts.
Site protection & disconnect
We protect fencing, gardens, and neighbouring structures, and disconnect any power running to the garage or shed before demolition starts.
Demolition & sorting
Wood framing, metal roofing, siding, and hardware are broken down and sorted on site so wood and metal can be recycled instead of thrown in one mixed bin.
Haul away & grading
All debris leaves with us the same visit. If you want the slab removed or the area backfilled and graded afterward, that is handled as part of the same job.

Garage, shed & deck demolition FAQs
Can a shed or garage be removed the same day you quote it?
Small structures like sheds and single garages can sometimes be taken down in a single visit once we are on site, but timing depends on size, access, and our current schedule. We will give you a realistic timeline as part of your written quote rather than a blanket promise.
What happens to the wood and metal after demolition?
We sort debris on site. Wood framing and metal roofing, siding, and hardware are separated where possible and taken to the appropriate recycling or disposal facility instead of being mixed together in one bin.
Will you fill the hole or patch the concrete slab afterward?
That depends on what you want left behind. We can remove the slab and grade the area level, backfill a hole left by removed footings, or leave a slab in place if you plan to reuse it as a patio or parking pad. Tell us your preference when we quote the job.
Do I need a permit to remove a garage, shed, or deck in Ottawa?
A building permit is generally required to demolish a structure in Ottawa, though smaller accessory buildings like sheds can sometimes be exempt depending on their size and your property. We can help you figure out what applies before work starts.
Why does an attached garage cost more to remove than a detached one?
An attached garage shares a wall, and sometimes a roofline, with your house, so that connection has to be cut and sealed carefully to protect the part of the building you are keeping. That extra care is why attached garage removal typically runs $8-$10 per sq ft, versus about $4 per sq ft for a standalone detached garage.
Will demolition damage my fence, driveway, or garden?
We take steps to protect fencing, driveways, and landscaping close to the work area before removal starts. If access is tight, we will walk the site with you first so there are no surprises.
